Giulia/Berlina

Alfa Romeo Giulia and Berlina Spare Parts

The four door saloons of the 105 series shaped the image of the sporting Italian family car from 1962 to 1977. Under the lead of chief engineer Orazio Satta Puliga, the Giulia became a model that was spacious, safe and suitable for daily use while still offering sporty performance thanks to the famous Twin Cam four cylinder with two chain driven overhead camshafts. The saloon range was extended from January 1968 by the larger and more comfortable Berlina 1750 and from summer 1971 by the Berlina 2000. Our range covers original spare parts and carefully selected reproductions for both saloon generations.

The History of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Saloon

On 27 June 1962 Alfa Romeo introduced the Giulia TI as successor to the Giulietta. The deliberately angular four door set new standards in aerodynamics for its class with a drag coefficient of only 0.34. The advertising slogan La macchina di famiglia che vince le corse, the family car that wins races, captured the concept perfectly. The Giulia was built at the Portello and Arese plants until the end of 1977.

The Giulia Model Variants Overview

  • Giulia TI (1962 to 1967), Turismo Internazionale, 1570 cc and 92 hp, the first and best selling variant
  • Giulia TI Super (1963 to 1964), 112 hp race version produced in very small numbers
  • Giulia Super 1.6 (1965 to 1977), 98 hp with twin carburettors, the flagship of the series
  • Giulia 1300, 1300 TI and 1300 Super, smaller engine options for a wider audience
  • Giulia Nuova Super 1300 and 1600 (1974 to 1977), the final revision of the saloon

The Berlina 1750 and 2000

In January 1968 Alfa Romeo extended its saloon range upwards with the 1750 Berlina powered by the Twin Cam engine enlarged to 1779 cc. The body and styling were created by Bertone, the wheelbase grew by sixty millimetres compared to the Giulia. A distinctive detail was the butterfly arrangement of the windscreen wipers running in opposite directions. From summer 1971 the Berlina 2000 with 132 hp and a revised front featuring four round headlights replaced the 1750 Berlina. In total more than 228,000 vehicles of this series were built.

The Berlina Model Variants Overview

  • 1750 Berlina (1968 to 1971), 1779 cc and 113 hp, body by Bertone
  • 2000 Berlina (1971 to 1975), 1962 cc and 132 hp, new front with four equally sized headlights
  • 2000 Berlina Type 115.36 (1975 to 1977), final revision with transistor ignition and standard head restraints
