Alfa Romeo Nuovo GT Spare Parts (Type 937, 2003 to 2010)

With the Alfa Romeo GT the brand presented in late 2003 an elegant sports coupé that continued the tradition of the great Bertone coupés of the 1960s and 1970s. The body was designed by Giuliano Biasio at Bertone, making the GT the last production model styled by the Milanese coachbuilder for Alfa Romeo. In 2004 the GT was voted the most beautiful coupé in the world. Between the end of 2003 and March 2010 a total of 80,832 examples were built at the Pomigliano d'Arco plant. Our range covers original spare parts and carefully selected reproductions for all engine variants and trim packages.

The History of the Alfa Romeo Nuovo GT

A first clay model with the eventual look of the GT was shown in March 2003 at the Geneva Motor Show, the production version followed in September of the same year at the IAA Frankfurt. Production started on 28 November 2003, with the Italian market launch in January 2004. In 2006 the model received a small facelift at the Paris Motor Show, a larger facelift never came, against the prevailing Alfa Romeo tradition of the time. Production ended in March 2010 without a direct successor.

Body and Platform

The GT uses the Tipo Due platform of the 156 and 147 series with a transverse engine and front wheel drive. The GT adopts the double wishbone front suspension and multilink rear axle of its sister models. Several body parts are shared with the 147, including bonnet, doors, mirrors and front fenders from the 147 GTA. The interior, dashboard and air conditioning system are also taken from the 147. The body itself, with its flowing lines, narrow window line and characteristic rear, is a Bertone design.

The 3.2 V6 as Flagship

The flagship of the GT range was the 3.2 V6 24V, equipped with the famous Busso V6 engine in its final production use in an Alfa Romeo coupé. The chromed intake runners, the high revving character and the unmistakable sound made it one of the most sought after engines of the brand. With 240 hp at 6,200 rpm and a six speed manual gearbox, the GT V6 accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in about 6.7 seconds and reached 243 km/h.
