Giulietta (940)
Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spare Parts (Type 940, 2010 to 2020)
With the Giulietta Alfa Romeo revived one of the most storied names in its history in 2010 and at the same time presented a modern compact car in the C segment. The five door hatchback replaced the 147 and was the first model to use the newly developed Compact platform of the Fiat group, known during planning as C Evo. The model was designed by Alessandro Maccolini at Centro Stile Alfa Romeo under the direction of Lorenzo Ramaciotti. Between 2010 and 22 December 2020 a total of 469,067 examples were built at the FCA plant in Cassino at Piedimonte San Germano. Our range covers original spare parts and carefully selected reproductions for all engine variants and trim levels including the Quadrifoglio Verde flagship.
The History of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Type 940
The Giulietta made its debut in March 2010 at the Geneva Motor Show, and the following year took second place in the European Car of the Year award. A discreet facelift followed at the IAA 2013 with revised radiator grille, front bumper and chrome trimmed fog lights. A further update came in 2016 at the Geneva Motor Show with a front section restyled in the manner of the new Giulia, a refreshed brand logo and a new trim range with the lines Giulietta, Super and Veloce. In 2019 the engines were upgraded to Euro 6 D. Production ended on 22 December 2020 after ten years, with the Tonale crossover SUV serving as indirect successor.
Platform and Body
The Compact platform is essentially a new development compared with the C platform of the Fiat Stilo, Fiat Bravo and Lancia Delta. Fiat invested around 100 million euros in the design, only the central front section was carried over and also modified. The chassis features an advanced MacPherson front suspension and a multilink rear axle. Unlike its 147 predecessor, the Giulietta is exclusively five door, with the rear door handles integrated in black into the window frames, giving the car the appearance of a coupé at first glance.
The Engine Variants Overview
- Giulietta 1.4 TB 16V (2010 to 2020), four cylinder turbo petrol with 120 hp, also as LPG variant
- Giulietta 1.4 TB MultiAir 16V (from 2010), four cylinder with MultiAir valve control in 150 and 170 hp versions

Quadrifoglio Verde and Veloce as Flagships
The sporting flagship was initially named Quadrifoglio Verde and from the 2016 update onwards Veloce. Its 1750 Turbo Pratola Serra four cylinder produced 235 hp, from 2016 240 hp, and accelerated the Giulietta to 100 km/h in under seven seconds. The flagship was available either with a six speed manual gearbox or the TCT dual clutch transmission. The Veloce was distinguished by a dark front grille, chromed tailpipes, specific 17 or 18 inch alloy wheels and sports seats with carbon accents.
Updates 2013 and 2016
In 2013 the Giulietta received a discreet visual facelift, in 2016 a more comprehensive update followed in line with the new brand identity established by the Giulia Type 952. The front and rear sections were replaced with parts in Giulia style, the brand logo modernised and the trim range divided into Giulietta, Super and Veloce. The old QV name was dropped in favour of Veloce, while a 1.6 JTDm 120 hp variant with TCT dual clutch gearbox joined the line up.
