Alfa Romeo MiTo Spare Parts (Type 955, 2008 to 2018)

With the MiTo Alfa Romeo entered the supermini segment in 2008 for the first time since the Alfasud Sprint. The three door hatchback with its powerfully drawn front deliberately quotes the design of the 8C Competizione sports car but transposes it into a compact and everyday usable body. The name MiTo combines the Italian cities Milano and Torino, while the word at the same time means myth. The designer was Juan Manuel Diaz at Centro Stile Alfa Romeo. Between 2008 and 2018 a total of 293,428 examples were built at the FCA Mirafiori plant in Turin. Our range covers original spare parts and carefully selected reproductions for all engine variants and trim levels, including the sporting flagship Quadrifoglio Verde.

The History of the Alfa Romeo MiTo

The MiTo was first presented to the press in spring 2008 at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan and made its international debut at the British International Motor Show in London in the summer of 2008. In autumn 2009 the MiTo received the world's first production engine with MultiAir technology, a hydraulic control of every individual intake valve. In 2010 the TCT dual clutch gearbox by FPT joined the range. A comprehensive update followed in 2013 and 2014 with revised interior, new Uconnect infotainment system and updated engines. Production ended in 2018, with the direct successor taking several years to arrive.

Platform and Body

The MiTo shares the GM Fiat Small platform with the Fiat Grande Punto and Opel Corsa D, but has its own chassis tuning and individual body. The short hatchback shape without door frames, the distinctive front and the characteristic front graphic with V Scudetto and teardrop headlights give the MiTo an unmistakable appearance. The EuroNCAP crash test awarded the car five out of five stars. The DNA system with Dynamic, Natural and All Weather modes allows direct adjustment of steering effort, throttle response and traction control to the driver.

The MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde

The flagship of the range debuted at the IAA Frankfurt in 2009. The 1.4 litre MultiAir turbo petrol produced 170 hp at 5,500 rpm and 250 Nm at 2,500 rpm, which at that time represented a specific output of 124 hp per litre and thus the highest value in its class. The QV came as standard with the new FPT C635 six speed manual gearbox, 305 mm front brake discs, exclusive 18 inch alloy wheels and optionally with Sabelt carbon shell bucket seats. From model year 2014 the QV was additionally available with the TCT dual clutch gearbox, which reduced 0 to 100 km/h acceleration to 7.3 seconds.
